I started Modern Christian School in 1996 with a Dream and a Passion to see the community of Tembisa lifted and developed.  I am proud to say many of the children that have walked the corridors of Modern Christian School have grown to be successes and Pillars in their respective communities and have held on to the Christian Values they have been taught.

 

We are dedicated towards imparting knowledge and sound values in all our children to pave their way towards Academic Excellence and a future that stands out amongst the rest.

 

Our Learners are important to us and are treated as such. Our Teachers are dedicated to the learners and have developed skills to nurture their Strengths.

Director - Mrs Maya Abejide

I joined Modern Christian School in 2012 and I have been inspired by the many Children that I have met over the years.

Principal - Mr Sylvester Kasawala

Sylvester kasawala has been serving as the principal of the school since 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Education from the university of Malawi and a Bachelor of Education (Hons) specializing in Education Management from the university of South Africa .

His role is to lead the group of motivated and highly qualified professionals in providing quality education to the underprivileged in Tembisa. 

The school has grown both numerically and performance wise. The school has become highly recommended by the officials from the Department of Education because of the professionalism and performance of the both learners and teachers. 

As a pastor of his local church, he has the passion to see the growth of christian education where the country produces God fearing professionals in all fields.
This will translate into enhancement of service delivery curbing corruption that has become endemic to the nation.
